Information we collect

When you install or use Taleni, we may process:

• Shopify store information, including store domain, store name, currency, timezone, publications, and the store owner or chosen notification email.
• Catalog information needed for planning, including products, variants, images, prices, inventory, availability, and storefront destinations.
• Pinterest account information you authorize, including account identifiers, boards, Pins, organic analytics, OAuth scopes, and encrypted access or refresh tokens.
• Content and settings created in Taleni, including strategies, briefs, calendars, Pin copy, approvals, rejections, edits, automation choices, and notification preferences.
• Technical records such as authentication sessions, webhook events, error logs, security events, and app usage needed to operate and protect the service.
• Subscription status supplied by Shopify. Taleni does not receive or store your payment-card number.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate your store, build and explain Pinterest plans, generate content from catalog facts, schedule approved Pins, recheck product safety before publication, measure outcomes, provide support, send requested service notifications, enforce subscriptions, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

AI-assisted processing

Taleni uses AI-assisted models to interpret product information, imagery, audience intent, and content concepts. Deterministic checks remain responsible for product eligibility, scheduling, approval state, and publication safety. Merchant data is used to provide Taleni’s service, not to sell advertising audiences.

How information is shared

We share information only as needed to operate Taleni: with Shopify for installation, authentication, billing, and store data; with Pinterest when you connect an account or publish approved content; with Cloudflare for hosting, storage, workflows, security, and AI processing; and with service providers used for support or transactional email. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while your installation is active and as needed for service operation, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. When Shopify sends a valid shop or customer redaction request, Taleni deletes or anonymizes the applicable information. You can also request deletion through our data deletion page.

Security

Taleni uses access controls, encrypted transport, restricted credentials, signed requests, and encryption for Pinterest tokens. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can disconnect Pinterest in Taleni Settings, which immediately deletes Taleni’s stored Pinterest tokens and stops scheduled unpublished Pins. Pinterest currently requires you to remove the authorization separately in Pinterest security settings. You can also change notification preferences, uninstall Taleni through Shopify, or ask to access, correct, or delete applicable personal information. Legal rights differ by location.

International processing

Taleni and its service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

Changes

We may update this policy as Taleni changes. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
